The trip will be made at the invitation of President Luong Cuong, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on November 25.
This year marks the 57th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Cambodia. Over the past 57 years, the relationship between the two nations has continued to grow.
Regarding investment, Viet Nam currently has 205 projects in Cambodia with a total registered capital of US$2.94 billion, leading ASEAN and ranking among the top five countries with the largest foreign direct investment (FDI) in Cambodia.
According to data from the Cambodian General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE), from January-October, 2024, the two-way trade reached US$6.419 billion, up 21.7 percent from US$5.277 billion of the same period of 2023.
Viet Nam is Cambodia's third-largest international trade partner, after China and the U.S.
Cambodia's exports to Viet Nam amounted to US$2.968 billion, an increase of 31.2 percent, while imports from Viet Nam totaled US$3.452 billion, a 14.4 percent rise.
The two nations target to raise bilateral trade turnover to US$20 billion in the years to come./.
