Viet Nam produced 43.4 million tons of rice, up 1.7 percent against 2022, 7.6 million tons of meat, up 3.5 percent, and 9.3 tons of aquatic products, up 2,9 percent year on year.
The export value of the sector amounted to over US$53 billion, resulting a trade surplus of US$12 billion - the highest level in 10 years.

Other top export products are fruits and vegetables (US$5.9 billion, up 69.2 percent), cashew (US$3.63 billion, up 17.6 percent), coffee (US$4.18 billion, up 3.1 percent), shrimp (US$3.38 billion, down 21.7 percent), and timber and timber products (US$13.37 billion, down 16.5 percent).
