Prime Minister visits World Horti Center in Netherlands
VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Monday visited the World Horti Center – the knowledge and innovation center for international greenhouse horticulture – as part of his ongoing visit to the Netherlands.
This is a leading platform where business, education, research and government jointly innovate, connect, inspire and share knowledge. It is a unique collaboration between education, research, entrepreneurs, and the government with an international focus.
Every year, World Horti Center is visited by 25,000 international professionals, who are looking for connection, knowledge and innovations in horticulture which is one of the nine sectors of the Netherlands' economic development strategy.
The Netherlands has offered effective assistance for Viet Nam in many areas over the past time, especially agriculture development, poverty reduction, helping the Southeast Asian country to become one of the largest exporter of farm produce in the world and contribute to ensuring global food security.
In 2014, Viet Nam and the Netherlands signed an agreement on strategic partnership in sustainable agriculture and food security, creating a long-term framework for the two countries to advance cooperation in this domain.
Both sides also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in food safety management in 2017 and a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in sustainable agriculture transformation for the Mekong Delta in 2019./.
