Prime Minister suggests U.S. corporations support Viet Nam in realizing strategic breakthroughs

VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called on the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) and American corporations to continue fostering collaboration and assisting Viet Nam in realizing its three strategic breakthroughs (institution, infrastructure and human resources).

The Prime Minister made tyhe above statement on Monday while hosting a reception for Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of the USABC Michael Michalak and representatives from American business giants who are visiting Viet Nam. 

Pham expressed thanks and spoke highly of the active role of the USABC and Michael Michalak in boosting trade and investment ties between the two nations. 

Viet Nam always treasures the Comprehensive Partnership with the U.S., the Prime Minister asserted, welcoming the U.S. support for a strong, independent and prosperous Viet Nam. 

He suggested the USABC and U.S. corporations increase investment in Viet Nam in all spheres of high-tech, digital transformation, green transition, climate change adaption, aviation industry and cyber security.

Regarding the U.S. corporations' proposal on enhancing cooperation in defense and security, and commerce with Viet Nam, Pham reiterated that Viet Nam is willing to bolster coordination across all sectors, for the sake of their peoples and making contribution to peace, cooperation, stability, development and prosperity in the region and the world. 

For his side, Michael Michalak said that the USABC highly appreciates the initiative of Viet Nam in hosting the Viet Nam International Defense Expo 2022.

Leaders from the American corporations hailed the investment and business environment in Viet Nam, expecting to promote cooperation with Viet Nam in such areas as defense and security, aviation, education-training, and human resource development.
