Prime Minister Pham made the above statement at a meeting on international integration held in Ha Noi on August 2.

The "four nos" defense policy means: no partaking in military alliances, no siding with one country to act against another, no foreign military bases in the Vietnamese territory or using Viet Nam as leverage to counteract other countries, and no using force or threatening to use force in international relations.

To date, Viet Nam has established diplomatic ties with nearly 200 countries, including 33 strategic and comprehensive partners around the world.

The Southeast Asian nation has officially participated in UN-led peacekeeping operations, signed 16 free trade agreements involving around 60 partners.

Last year the country's trade with the rest of the world reached US$730 billion.

Viet Nam records the fastest growth worldwide in national brand development in the 2019-2022 period with the value of Vietnamese national brand increasing to US$431 billion in 2022.

Prime Minister Pham underlined the need to strengthen the role of the State in encouraging and creating favorable for individuals, organizations and businesses in international integration.

The country also needs to double efforts in realizing international agreements and commitments, he said.

He also called for further efforts in improving the quality of growth, human resources, and region-to-region connectivity among others./.
