Prime Minister Pham made the suggestion during a reception for COMAC Chairman He Dongfeng in Ha Noi on April 14.

Pham welcomed He's Viet Nam visit, which coincided with the State visit to Viet Nam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

The Prime Minister stated that the Party and State of Viet Nam always encourage major enterprises representing high levels of science and technology in China to participate in new investment projects and expand investments in road, railway, and aviation infrastructure in Viet Nam.

On that basis, the Vietnamese Government and relevant ministries and sectors are ready to facilitate airlines in organizing and operating flights between Viet Nam and other countries, thereby contributing to trade, tourism, and socio-economic development.

Pham asked COMAC to cooperate and support Vietnamese partners to develop aircraft fleets and expand flight routes; moving towards the production of components, manufacturing of aircraft, development of the aviation industry ecosystem, aviation economy, training of high-quality human resources and exploitation of Viet Nam's aerospace, thus helping to develop the Viet Nam-China relationship more substantially, effectively and intensively.

In response, the COMAC Chairman expressed appreciation for Pham's support in promoting COMAC's cooperation with Vietnamese partners, particularly in improving the legal framework to enable its aircrafts to operate in Viet Nam.

He also expressed hope for continued support in expanding COMAC's partnership with Vietnamese firms—not only in air transport but also in the broader development of Viet Nam's aviation industry./.
