The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the elevation of the Viet Nam–Thailand relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in May 2025, marking an important milestone in their longstanding friendship. They also noted the strong and substantive progress in various areas of cooperation, with Thailand remaining Viet Nam's largest trading partner and second-largest foreign investor among ASEAN countries.

Prime Minister Pham affirmed Viet Nam's readiness to create favorable conditions for Thai businesses to operate effectively in the country. Both sides agreed to strengthen coordination and strive to raise the two-way trade turnover to US$25 billion per year, while promoting economic linkages through the effective implementation of the "Three Connectivity" strategy.

Prime Minister Anutin expressed appreciation for the Vietnamese Government's support for Thai enterprises investing and doing business in Viet Nam. He also encouraged more Vietnamese companies to invest in Thailand, particularly in the industrial, agricultural, and technological sectors, affirming that Thailand will offer the most favorable conditions possible to ensure a more balanced two-way investment relationship.

Comparing notes on regional and international issues of mutual concern, Prime Minister Pham suggested that Viet Nam and Thailand continue to work closely to uphold ASEAN's unity and centrality, while promoting sustainable development in the Mekong subregion.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Anutin invited his Vietnamese counterpart to visit Thailand and attend the Mekong–Lancang Summit at the end of this year, and expressed his hope to meet and exchange views in person at upcoming multilateral events such as the ASEAN Summit./.
