Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh holds phone conversation with Singaporean counterpart Lawrence Wong

VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Wednesday held phone conversation with Secretary-General of the People's Action Party (PAP) and Prime Minister of Singapore Lawrence Wong.

Prime Minister Pham congratulated Singapore on successful organization of the 14th election and extended General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee To Lam's congratulations to Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and PAP leaders on winning the election.

Pham said the win reflects Singaporean people's trust in and support for the right leadership of the PAP and Prime Minister Wong, helping Singapore to inherit and promote the core values that have created "Singapore Miracle".

Pham expressed his belief that Wong will continue to lead Singapore to overcome all challenges and achieve stable and prosperous development.

Prime Minister Pham called on Singapore to expand investment in Viet Nam, particularly in such fields like high technology, renewable energy, smart infrastructure and sustainable urban development, and to intensify cooperation with Viet Nam in wind power, exchange of carbon credits, financial innovation, seaport development, and trans-national crime combat.

The two Prime Ministers agreed to expedite the implementation of the oucomes o recent high-level visits while further promoting Party-to-Party and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

The two leaders tasked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the two counties to work closely together in formulating an action program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 2025-2030 period right in 2025.

Boths sides also compared notes on regional and international issues of mutual concern and agreed to strengthen consultation, coordination and mutual support at regional and international forums, particularly ASEAN and APEC, for peace, stability and mutual benefits of the region and the world.

The two leaders agreed thay will further discuss bilateral ties and other issues on the occasion of the upcoming ASEAN Summits and related meetings in Malaysia./.
