Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh begins three-day official visit to Algeria
VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Tuesday starts a three-day official visit to Algeria at the invitation of his Algerian counterpart Sifi Ghrieb.

Algeria is the second leg of Prime Minister Pham's nine-day tour to the Middle East and South Africa where he is set to attend the G20 Summit.
This is the first visit by a Vietnamese Prime Minister to Algeria over the last 10 years.
Pham is accompanied by Politburo member, Standing member of the Document Subcommittee for the 14th National Party Congress Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of the Central Committee of Communist Party of Viet Nam Le Hoai Trung, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Touris, Nguyen Van hung, Minister of Ethnic and Religious Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung, Chief Inspector of the Government Inspectorate Doan Hong Phong, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for Ombudsman Duong Thanh Binh, Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Van Gau, Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung, and Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh.

Algeria, the third largest economy in Africa, is a traditional partner and an earnest supporter of Viet Nam's national construction process since the two countries established dipomatic relations in 1962.
Pham's visit is of significant importance as it would create a strong political impetus for the two countries to open up a new era of extensive and dynamic cooperation.
The visit will provide an opportunity for both sides to sign new cooperation deals in such fields like energy, oil and gas, agriculture, mining, food processing and manufacturing./.
