Prime Minister orders sufficient energy for post-pandemic recovery
VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Sunday ordered sufficient supply of energy as the Government set goal to attain the GDP growth rate of 6-6.5 percent this year.

Relevant agencies and entities must employ appropriate and effective measures to avoid energy crisis and minimize adverse impacts on inflation, budget revenue and trade balance, particularly in the current complicated external situation, Prime Minister Pham emphasized.
He urged the electricity sector to further strengthen its self-reliance and independence from external electricity sources.
In the long run, it is necessary to boost the development of renewable energy in favor of sustainable development while stepping up power saying and encouraging domestic power generation and innovation in the sector, Pham said.
He tasked competent authorities to continue reviewing and improving mechanisms and policies for production and supply of power, coal, gas and renewable energy sources to ensure energy security./.
