Prime Minister meets UN Secretary-General in Cambodia
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Friday met with United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on the sidelines of the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits.

The Vietnamese Government chief said that the nation will continue launching agreements reached during the UN Secretary-General's official visit to Viet Nam in October this year.
Pham expected the UN would continue assistance for Viet Nam in its monetary and financial policy making process.
The two leaders held that 2023 will continue to be a difficult year for the world, with many macroeconomic issues such as high inflation and interest rate hikes by central banks of many major countries, which will negatively affect developing economies.
António Guterres highly valued the contributions of Viet Nam to the UN as well as the country's efforts in the post-COVID-19 economic recovery.
He expressed his belief in the bright future of Viet Nam with great potentials and hospitable and dynamic people./.
