Prime Minister meets Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Russia

Prime Minister Pham recalled his good impressions during his official visit to Turkey in November last year.

He congratulated on Turkey's recent socio-economic achievements, expressing his belief that Turkey will successfully realize its century vision under the leadership of President Erdogan.

Pham affirmed Viet Nam attaches importance to the friendship and fine cooperation between Viet Nam and Turkey, calling on Turkish investors to step up investments in the Southeast Asian country.

President Erdogan extended congratulations to Viet Nam's newly-elected President Luong Cuong.

He appreciated Viet Nam's support for Turkey to have become a sectoral dialogue partner of ASEAN.

Erdogan expressed his sympathies over the huge losses and damages caused by Typhoon Yagi.

The two leaders showed their delight at the positive developments in the Viet Nam-Turkey relations and agreed to strengthen high-level exchanges and contacts to further heighten and deepen the bilateral ties.

Both sides agreed to double effort to soon raise the two-way trade to US$4 billion and work together to formulate new frameworks to further faciliate trade and investment cooperation.

The pair agreed to expand cooperation to other fields, including defense, and facilitate mutual travel between the two countries.

The two leaders compared notes on regional and international issues of common concern, including escalating tension in the Middle East, affirming the two sides' resolve to enhance coordination at regional and international cooperation forums in the time to come.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Pham conveyed President Luong Cuong's invitation to President Erdogan to visit Viet Nam soon. President Erdogan accepted the invitation with pleasure./.
