Prime Minister meets Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 20.
The meeting was part of Prime Minister Pham's tour to Saudi Arabia to attend the first ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit.
The two leaders hailed the bilateral relations, adding that there are ample rooms for Viet Nam and Saudi Arabia to further strengthen their friendship and cooperation for the sake of their peoples.
Both sides vowed to continue consolidating political and diplomatic relations via all-level delegation exchanges, particularly high-ranking delegations, further open the market and boost trade ties.
They pledged to work together to build cooperation roadmap, identify specific investment projects and areas and create opportunities for their enterprises, striving to bolster collaboration between their governments and business communities to upgrade the relationship to a higher level.
To create breakthroughs in investment ties, Pham called on Saudi Arabia's investment funds to pour large-scale investments in prioritized areas in Viet Nam such as green economy, innovation, high-tech, industry and renewable energy.
He suggested the Saudi Arabian House of Saud and Government continue creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese citizens to work and live in the nation.
The guest took the occasion to invite the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia to pay an official visit to Viet Nam next year.
For his part, the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister said he will pay a visit to Viet Nam in 2024 on the occasion of the 25th founding anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic ties, asserting that Viet Nam is a top crucial partner of Saudi Arabia in the Southeast Asia.
He said that he will direct the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia to expand investment in Viet Nam, particularly in the domains of energy, including traditional energy and renewable energy./.
