The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the visit will inject new momentum to further promote the Viet Nam–South Korea comprehensive strategic partnership in a more substantive, effective, and comprehensive manner in the time ahead.

He called on both sides to strengthen political trust by expanding practical cooperation in defense, security, and diplomacy and enhance the effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms, thereby creating a solid political foundation for broadening bilateral collaboration across all fields.

Le underlined the need to deepen economic linkages with a focus on innovation and improve the quality of cooperation.  He suggested that both sides work together to realize the trade goal of US$150 billion by 2030 in a balanced fashion, and continue opening markets for each other's goods.

He called on South Korea to support Viet Nam to increase localization rates and Vietnamese enterprises to join Korean production supply chains.

The Prime Minister urged South Korea to share experience in financial innovation, banking inspection and supervision, and assist Viet Nam in operating the international financial center.

Le recommended that both sides foster stronger ties in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation; align strategies to ensure sustainable energy security; and expand collaboration in human resources, culture, and tourism, while strengthening people-to-people exchanges.

He expected that President Lee Jae Myung and the South Korean Government will continue to support and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Vietnamese community living in the Northeast Asian country, while further simplifying procedures towards visa exemption for Vietnamese citizens.

The Vietnamese Government will create all favorable conditions for the Korean community to live, study, and work long-term in the nation, the Prime Minister affirmed.

The two leaders expressed their satisfaction with the extensive development of the bilateral relations over the last 35 years, adding that South Korea is currently the largest investor in Viet Nam, with more than 10,000 enterprises operating in the country, making significant contributions to the economic growth of both nations and Viet Nam's industrial development.

Cooperation between the two sides in key areas—including politics, security, defense, science and technology, labor, education and training, and people-to-people exchanges—has continued to achieve important progress, they noted.

Meanwhile, President Lee said that the two countries currently have very favorable conditions to shape a new strategic vision for cooperation, create opportunities for joint development, and move toward a sustainable and shared prosperous future.

Presidetn Lee said South Korea stands ready to accompany Viet Nam on its path to translate development goals into reality, including the goal to become a high-income, developed country by 2045.

Lee proposed that both sides promote long-term and strategic cooperation not only in trade, investment, and energy, but also in science and technology, labor, and supply chains.

He underscored that Viet Nam's success is also South Korea's success, stressing the need to strengthen exchanges and elevate bilateral cooperation to the highest level towards sustainable shared prosperity.

Lee expressed hope that the Vietnamese Government will actively support the resolution of difficulties and obstacles faced by Korean businesses in the Southeast Asian country, and create favorable conditions for Korean companies to participate in Viet Nam's strategic infrastructure projects such as nuclear power, infrastructure development, and high-speed rail.

South Korea will actively consider increasing quotas for Vietnamese workers, and strengthening cooperation high-quality human resource training, while ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese workers, shared the guest.

That same day, the two leaders attended and delivered remarks at the Viet Nam–South Korea Business Roundtable and the Viet Nam–South Korea Economic Forum on enhancing industrial, investment, and science and technology partnerships, with the participation of leading enterprises from both countries./.
