Deputy heads of the Committee include Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang, Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam Nguyen Thi Hong and Secretary of Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang.

The committee is tasked with putting forward orientations and strategies to develop the financial centers, particularly regulatory frameworks and policies to ensure the smooth operation of these centers.

It will direct the arrangement of resources for infrastructure development and organize cooperative and consulting activities with domestic and international agencies.

Viet Nam intends to develop one international financial center, which will operate in two cities: Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, said Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh at a meeting held on May 20.

According to Nguyen, more than 10 national and international conferences on the center have been held so far in Viet Nam and European countries.

The National Assembly is scheduled to discuss and adopt the a Resolution drafted by the Government at its ongoing 9th session, establishing a legal framework for the development of the international financial center in Viet Nam.

The center will provide a strong boost to the economy, contributing to the country's growth and development, and helping create a transparent and breakthrough legal framework, asserted Nguyen./.
