Prime Minister embarks on official visit to Belgium
VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Tuesday landed in Brussels, starting his official visit to Belgium at the invitation at the invitation of Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo.

Belgium is Viet Nam's sixth largest European trading partner, followed by the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, and Austria, with the two sides having successfully maintained a good relationship since first establishing diplomatic ties on March 22, 1973.
Prime Minister Pham will also attend a summit commemorating the 45th founding anniversary of the ASAN-EU relations at the invitation of President of the European Council Charles Michel.

The EU became ASEAN's dialogue partner in 1977 and elevated the ties to strategic partnership in 2020.
Furthermore, 2017 was also milestone year for ASEAN-EU Dialogue Relations, as both sides celebrated the 40th anniversary of the dialogue relations through a number of commemorative activities, which culminated in the convening of the ASEAN-EU Commemorative Summit to mark the 40th anniversary of the dialogue relations held on 14 November 2017 in Manila./.
