Prime Minister appoints new Deputy Minister of National Defense
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has appointed Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai, member of the Party Central Committee, as Deputy Minister of National Defense.

New Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Hong Thai
Nguyen was promoted to the new role from his previous position as the Commander of Military Region 1.
The Ministry of National Defense is headed by General Phan Van Giang, who is assisted by Nguyen Tan Cuong, Vo Minh Luong, Hoang Xuan Chien, Le Huy Vinh, Vu Hai San, Pham Hoai Nam and Nguyen Hong Thai as Deputy Ministers./.
