President Luong Cuong concludes successful working visit to China
VGP - Vietnamese State President Luong Cuong successfully wrapped up his three-day working tour to China, where he attended the 80th anniversary of the world people’s victory over fascism.

This was Luong's first visit to China as head of state, coinciding with the Year of Viet Nam–China Humanistic Exchange and the 75th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.
The trip aimed at fostering a more stable, substantive, and effective partnership with China, while also highlighting Viet Nam's sense of responsibility for global peace, security, and development.
During his stay, State President Luong held talks with Chinese General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, and met with Zhao Leji, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC). The discussions focused on consolidating high-level agreements, enhancing political trust, and promoting practical, mutually beneficial cooperation to contribute to regional and global development.
President Xi congratulated Viet Nam on the successful celebration of its 80th National Day, underscoring the importance of the two sides' closer strategic coordination, safeguarding fairness and justice, and ensuring regional stability for sustainable growth.
Permanent Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Vu described the trip as a success, noting that State President Luong's presence at the anniversary demonstrated Viet Nam's peace-loving spirit, commitment to justice, and consistent foreign policy of working closely with the international community for peace, stability, and cooperation. He also underlined the strong political, material, and social foundations for advancing the outcomes of the visit.
Looking ahead, Viet Nam and China agreed to further enhance strategic coordination and deepen political trust through regular high-level exchanges, broader comprehensive cooperation, and stronger collaboration in key sectors. Both sides also pledged to expand people-to-people ties by increasing direct flights, facilitating visa procedures, and boosting cultural, educational, and tourism exchanges, especially through activities under the Year of Viet Nam–China Humanistic Exchange.
On the occasion, State President Luong also met with relatives of Chinese and Vietnamese advisors, generals, and intellectuals who had contributed to Viet Nam's revolutionary cause and the friendship between the two nations. He expressed appreciation for the long-standing ties and mutual support between the two Parties and peoples, while encouraging families of these historical figures to continue passing down this legacy to future generations, thereby reinforcing the enduring Viet Nam–China bond./.
