President arrives in Vientiane, starting State visit to Laos
VGP - Vietnamese President To Lam arrived in Vientiane on July 11, starting his two-day State visit to Laos.
The visit is made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith.
To Lam is accompanied by President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, Chairman of the Presidential Office Le Khanh Hai, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc, and Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung, among others.
The President's state visit to Laos, his first foreign trip after taking office in June, shows the Vietnamese Party and State's consistent policy of attaching great importance and giving the highest priority to reinforcing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with Laos, said Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung.
The visit will provide a chance for both sides' leaders to review and evaluate the cooperative relations between the two Parties and two countries over the years.
They will discuss and agree on major orientations, policies and measures to promote and deepen the comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and two countries in 2024 and the years beyond.
Both sides will exchange views on regional and international situation and discuss ways to reinforce coordination between the two sides at forums, he said./.
