According to a report released by the Ministry of Home Affairs on administrative reforms in the first half of 2008, main tasks set in the Government’s Action Program have been vigorously realized.

Over the period, the Government has issued 22 decrees stipulating functions, tasks, rights and organizational structure of 22 ministries. Thanks to their sound preparation, most of these agencies could ensure their effective performance after being restructured.

The provincial and district-level bodies have been also well organized and begun their operation.

Many ministries and localities have actively applied information technology in administrative procedures, such as launching e-portals and presenting online forms and formalities.

The PM and his deputies have presided over many teleconferences and online working sessions, so as to increase the efficiency of their direction, enhance two-way information exchange between the central and local authorities, and save costs and time.

The Plan on simplifying administrative formalities has been further put into reality in order to create more favorable business environment for people and enterprises.
