Politburo member Tran Cam Tu to pay official visit to Singapore

VGP - Politburo member, Standing member of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu is set to pay an official visit to Singapore and co-chair the first Viet Nam-Singapore Strategic Dialogue between the CPV and the People’s Action Party (PAP) of Singapore from August 24–25.

The visit will be made at the invitation of the PAP Central Executive Committee, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Viet Nam and Singapore established diplomatic ties in 1973. The two nations upgraded the bilateral ties to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in March 2025.

In 2025, the bilateral trade value hit US$10.69 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.5 percent, making Singapore the fourth largest trading partner of Viet Nam in ASEAN and 14th in the world.

As of March 31, 2026, Singapore poured US$96.4 billion in investment projects in Viet Nam, ranking second among 154 nations and territories investing in the country./.
