PM’s Special Envoy visits Romania
VGP – Permanent Vice Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son paid a visit to Romania from March 6-7 as Special Envoy of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

During the visit, he made courtesy calls on Romanian Deputy Prime Minister Viorel Stefan and Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu and had working sessions with Secretary of State for Global Affairs Monica Gheorghita and State Secretary for Foreign Trade Mihaela Voicila.
Son conveyed Prime Minister Phuc’s letter to Romanian counterpart Viorica Dăncilă, in which Phuc highly valued the fine developments of the traditional friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and the European country over the past time.

He also expressed hope that the Romanian side would actively work with other EU members to step up the signing and ratification of the Viet Nam-EU free trade agreement (EVFTA) and the investment protection agreement (IPA) for mutual benefits.
The host officials said Romania treasures and expects to bolster friendship and cooperation with Viet Nam, affirming Romanian Government appreciates contributions and will take care of Vietnamese community’s rights in their country.
Romanian side also underscored the importance of the aforesaid agreements and vowed to collaborate with the EU members to boost the signing and ratification as soon as possible./.
