PM Phuc praised the ongoing operation of the US-based multinational investment banking firm in Viet Nam, hoping that with abundant experience, Goldman Sachs would cooperate with domestic banks and enterprises to convert Viet Nam into an attractive investment destination globally.

Mr. Phuc recommended Goldman Sachs expand their footholds in Viet Nam through PPP models especially in the areas of infrastructure, rural and agricultural development, and climate change response.

The host leader took the occasion to seek Goldman Sachs’ positive participation in the SOEs restructuring process in Viet Nam.

Viet Nam hails foreign investors on the basis of bringing in mutual benefits. “Your successes are Viet Nam’s successes,” said PM Phuc.

He also pledged to create the best environment for foreign players to do fruitful business.

For his part, Mr. Andrea Vella lauded Viet Nam’s high GDP growth rate and young population which are attractive factors for foreign investors.

As an investor, Goldman Sachs sees numerous investment opportunities in Viet Nam, said the guest leader.

In recent months, Goldman Sachs has contacted  partners from Japan and Europe to introduce Viet Nam’s investment opportunities.

Goldman Sachs promises to stand by Viet Nam and provide credits for projects which have careful assessment of environmental impacts, the co-head confirmed./.
