Speaking at a reception for Romanian Ambassador to Viet Nam Cristina Romila, Pham expressed thanks to the European country for having donated 100,800 Astra Zeneca vaccine doses to Viet Nam.

In reply, Ambassador Romila said she will forward the suggestion to her country’s leaders.

Pham also thanked Romania for its active support to accelerate the signing of the trade and investment deals between Viet Nam and the European Union during its EU presidency in the second half of 2019, emphasizing that Romania was one of the first three EU members to have ratified the EU-Viet Nam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA)

Regarding multilateral aspect, Pham and Romila agreed that both countries should strengthen collaboration at regional and international forums.

On the East Sea issues, both sides underlined the importance of ensuring security, safety, and freedom of navigation and aviation as well as peaceful settlement of disputes on sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction in accordance with the United Nations Charter and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea./.
