At his meeting with Governor of Tochigi Prefecture Fukuda Tomikazu, PM Pham welcomed cooperation between the prefecture and Vietnamese localities.

Pham also welcomed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Vinh Phuc province of Viet Nam and Tochigi Prefecture on the occasion of his Japan visit, thus making practical contributions to the extensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

He thanked governor Fukuda and Tochigi prefecture administration for creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community living and working in the locality during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pham suggested Tochigi Prefecture expand exchanges and cooperation with Vietnamese localities, particularly in such fields like medical equipment production, manufacturing and processing and agriculture.

Earlier the same day, PM Pham hosted a reception for former Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide and President of the Japan–Viet Nam Parliamentary Friendship Union Nikai Toshihiro in Tokyo./.
