Pham extended best wishes to the leaders and people of Cambodia on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the National Day of Cambodia (November 9, 1953-November 9, 2024), expressing his belief that the neighboring country will gain greater and more comprehensive development achievements in the near future.

The tradition of solidarity and mutual assistance between Viet Nam and Cambodia is the valuable asset and one of the key factors for the past national struggle and the current development cause in both countries, said Pham.

He conveyed greetings from General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man to senior leaders of the Party and State of Cambodia.

Prime Minister Hun Manet congratulated on Viet Nam's recent achievements, expressing his belief that Viet Nam will continue to obtain greater achievements in its national construction and development process under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam headed by General Secretary To Lam.

The two Prime Ministers agreed to strengthen defense-security cooperation, coordinate closely in preventing hostile forces' plots aimed at sabotaging the relationship between the two countries.

Both sides agreed to encourage and facilitate trade and investment activities in a bid to soon raise the two-way trade to US$20 billion, and speed up transport connectivity, particularly in border areas.

The pair underscored the significance and historical values of the Viet Nam-Cambodia-Laos relations, pledging to continue maintaining the three countries' cooperation mechanisms for the benefits of their people and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world./.
