PM meets with President of Belgium Chamber of Representatives

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and President of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives Siegfried Bracke agreed that the two sides should spare no effort to tap cooperative potentials especially education, training, science, technology, shipping, and clean energy.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with President of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives Siegfried Bracke on October 17 during his official tour of Europe. 

Both sides expressed their pleasure at the comprehensive developments in the bilateral ties after 45 years of the establishment of diplomatic ties. 

PM Phuc treasured the host leader for his support to the bilateral ties. The legislative cooperation plays an important role in cementing and deepening the bilateral ties, he added. 

For his part, President Seigried Bracke hailed the socio-economic achievements which Viet Nam has attained especially in poverty reduction.

He also highlighted the significance of the PM’s visit which contributed to boosting the bilateral ties. The Belgian Chamber of Representatives backed multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. 

Mr. Siegfried Bracke also hailed the coordination in agriculture, regarding this a practical field in line with respective requirements for growth. 

The two leaders acknowledged the necessity to tap cooperative opportunities in various fields including education, training, science, technology, shipping, and clean energy. 

President Siegfried Bracke voiced his support for and pledged to spare no effort for an early signing and ratification of the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) in favor of mutual benefits. 

The host leader also expressed his support for Viet Nam’s stance on international and regional issues of common concern and the cooperation between the two countries at multilateral forums including the UN./.
