PM inspects key transport, development projects in Khanh Hoa
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on March 12 inspected the implementation of large-scale projects in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.
Pham was accompanied by Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi, and Secretary of Khanh Hoa Province's Party's Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh.

The Prime Minister conducts a field survey in Van Phong Bay and listens to reports on development of coastal urban areas and key tourist sites in the Van Phong Economic Zone .

The Government leader orders the locality to focus on infrastructure development in order to attract more investment and inhabitants to the Van Phong Economic Zone.

Prime Minister Pham visits Hyundai Viet Nam Shipbuilding Limited Liability Company located in Van Phong Economic Zone to learn about the company's future development orientations.

The company creates 5,000 jobs for local residents and reports annual revenue of US$500 million. Prime Minister Pham asks the company to raise the localization rate to 20-25 percent and take measures to protect the environment.

Pham stresses the need to apply advanced and sustainable technology to reduce carbon emissions while visiting Van Phong 1 Thermal Power Plant.

The PM highlights the strategic significance of Buon Ma Thuot-Van Phong expressway to the development of the Central Highlands region and the Van Phong Economic Zone. The recently-approved expressway project has four lanes with the total length of 117.5 kilometers.
