PM Dung welcomes Yonhap news agency president

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung on May 28 in Ha Noi received Song Hyun-Seung, President of the Yonhap News Agency from the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The PM praised the agency for its impartial coverage of Viet Nam’s socio-economic performance and the Viet Nam-RoK relations, including China’s illegal placement of an oil rig in Viet Nam’s waters.

The host leader called on Yonhap to continue its objective and truthful reporting on developments in the East Sea and Viet Nam’s goodwill measures in solving disputes peacefully in line with international law.

He also expressed his pleasure at flourishing ties between Viet Nam and the RoK and promised to support the cooperation between the Viet Nam News Agency (VNA) and Yonhap.

For his part, Mr. Song revealed that via the visit, he hoped to spur the partnership between Yonhap and VNA.

The guest leader also pledged to spare no effort to cement and deepen the Viet Nam-RoK ties./.
