The PM asked to drastically implement Decision No. 24-NQ/TW on active in response to climate change, and strengthen natural resource management and environmental protection and other national strategies and plans on climate change and green growth.

PM Dung also asked to identify key and crucial projects to guarantee the effectiveness of these projects as the investment resource is limited.

He also confirmed the capital source serving climate change adaption must be used from the internal sources, of the people and State budget, suggesting attracting resources from foreign countries and the international organizations as well as enhancing international cooperation activities in response to climate change.

Viet Nam’s policies on climate change have been set up synchronously to create the basis for ministries, agencies and localities to develop their own plans to cope with climate change.
