PM bids farewell to Brazilian Ambassador

VGP – Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on February 8 in Hà Nội hosted a reception to bid farewell to Brazilian Ambassador Joao de Mendonca Lima Neto, who accomplished his working term in Việt Nam.

PM Dũng said that he was pleasant to witness the developments in the comprehensive ties between Việt Nam and Brazil.

He affirmed that Việt Nam would do its utmost to work with Brazil in developing the bilateral relations in a practical and effective manner for mutual benefits.

Hailing the contributions of the outgoing Ambassador, PM Dũng said he hoped that Mr. Joao de Mendonca Lima Neto would continue to serve as a bridge to bring the two nations closer.

Ambassador Joao de Mendonca Lima Net noted that the two sides have potentials to tap especially in trade, investment, education, culture and tourism.

Earlier, on behalf of the State President, Foreign Minister Phạm Bình Minh presented the Friendship Order to Brazilian Ambassador Joao de Mendonca Lima Neto for his contributions to consolidating and developing the Việt Nam-Brazil friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation.

The same day, PM Dũng received Export-Import Bank (Eximbank) President and Chairman Fred Hochberg who is currently on a working visit to Việt Nam.

The Vietnamese Government chief highly spoke of Eximbank’s effective projects in Việt Nam, one of the bank’s nine key markets, and hoped to continue receiving more efficient support from the US bank.

Eximbank Chairman Fred Hochberg said he wishes to broaden the presence of Eximbank in the Southeast Asian nation, particularly in such areas like energy and infrastructure.

The Eximbank Chairman hailed Việt Nam for its dynamic development and market potentials  and expressed his desires to early put cooperative deals into practice./.
