PM asks for enhancing dengue fever prevention, control

To actively control and prevent dengue fever, the PM asks provincial-level People’s Committees to direct authorities, agencies and local people to decimate mosquitoes at construction projects, densely population areas, poor sanitary condition areas as well as guide health departments to closely follow the situations, treat patients promptly and cope with the outbreaks.

The Ministry of Information and Communications, Viet Nam Television, Voice of Viet Nam, Viet Nam News Agency and other press agencies coordinate with the Ministry of Health to provide information about preventing and controlling dengue fever, the disease situations and measures to treat with the diseases.

The Ministry of Finance ensures the expenditures for dengue fever prevention and control.

The dengue fever occurs at 50 localities nationwide. The nation acknowledged more than 29,000 cases and 18 deaths over the recent months of 2015.
