Pharmaceutical imports up 7.65%
VGP – As of September 2014, Viet Nam’s pharmaceutical imports reached more than US$1.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.65%, ranking 13th among 175 nations and territories, according to the Viet Nam Customs.

India is the largest exporter of pharmaceuticals to Viet Nam among 28 markets around the world with US$199.9 million, accounting for 13.4% and up 8.67%.
France and Germany came second and third with US$172.8 million and US$143.4 million, down 7.93% and up 25.09%, respectively.
Over the past nine months of 2014, Viet Nam spared more than US$263 million to import medicine-making materials, up 20.61%.
China is the main provider of the materials for Viet Nam with a turnover of US$150.6 million, up 34.62% and accounting for 57.1%, followed by India with US$42.7 million, up 18.25%.
