Party leader welcomes Lao army officer

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong receives Director of the General Department of Politics of the Lao People’s Army Vilay Lakhamphong, Ha Noi, August 2, 2017

At the reception, Lieutenant General Lakhamphong briefed his host on Laos’ current situation, cooperation outcomes between the two defence ministries and results of his talks with officers of the General Department of Politics of the Viet Nam People’s Army.

He promised to cooperate with the Vietnamese Defense Ministry to successfully fulfill tasks assigned to promote bilateral special solidarity for mutual benefit, peace, stability and development.

In turn, the Party leader pledged best conditions to promote cooperation between the two Ministries of Defense in maintaining political stability and social order.

Mr. Trong called on the two armies to uphold their tradition, be vigilant, successfully accomplish their tasks, and build stronger forces.
