To emphasized tthat Vilay's visit would contribute to realizing the two countries' high-level agreement on defense and security cooperation, and further deepening their special solidarity.

He congratulated and spoke highly of the significant achievements that Laos has achieved in recent times, particularly in implementing the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress, successfully undertaking the role as ASEAN Chair and the Chair of the 45th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-45).

Viet Nam pledges to back Laos' development course and stands ready to share its experience across all fields towards mutual development, the Party chief said.

To suggested the two countries countinue to build on their strong tradition of collaboration by sharing intelligence, combating transnational crime, particularly drug trafficking, and countering activities by hostile forces aimed at destabilizing either nation

In reply, Vilay appreciated Viet Nam's profound and timely support and assistance for Laos over the past years, including helping Laos successfully host the ASEAN and AIPA Summits in 2024.

He promised that the Lao Ministry of Public Security would continue to uphold the close-knit cooperation with Vietnamese counterpart, jointly safeguarding national security, maintaining public order, and contributing to the enduring special relationship between Laos and Viet Nam./.
