During the meeting, General Secretary and President To Lam urged the Danish Parliament to continue supporting the effective implementation of cooperation agreements between the two Governments, particularly in economy, trade, investment, green transformation, renewable energy, science and technology, innovation, education and training, and high-quality human resource development.

He also proposed that the two sides step up exchanges of experience in institution-building and legislation relating to digital transformation, green economic development, circular economy and climate action.

In reply, Speaker Henrik Frandsen highlighted the vast potential for cooperation between Viet Nam and Denmark and affirmed the Danish Parliament's support for further strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in areas aligned with Denmark's strengths and Viet Nam's development needs. He also expressed his hope that the two countries would promote people-to-people exchanges and enhance coordination within the framework of Viet Nam-EU relations.

The two leaders agreed to further deepen cooperation between the two legislative bodies through maintaining exchanges of delegations at all levels, particularly between parliamentary leaders, specialized committees and legislators, including female and young parliamentarians.

They also underscored the importance of sharing experience in legislation, oversight and decision-making on major national issues, as well as in building a rule-of-law state, improving national governance and ensuring social security.

Both sides agreed to strengthen coordination at multilateral parliamentary forums, promote the role of their respective legislatures in upholding multilateralism and respect for international law, and work together to address global challenges, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and sustainable development.

The two leaders emphasized the importance of upholding the United Nations Charter, respecting the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, and settling disputes by peaceful means in accordance with international law.

Regarding the East Sea issue, General Secretary and President To Lam called on the Danish Parliament to continue supporting ASEAN's position on maintaining peace and stability, ensuring security, safety and freedom of navigation and overflight, and peacefully resolving disputes in accordance with international law, particularly the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)./.
