The visits will be made at the invitations of Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Bulgarian President Rumen Radev.

Finland has long been a close and friendly partner of Viet Nam. The two sides have regularly exchanged delegations at various levels, coordinate closely, and support each other at multilateral forums, particularly within within the frameworks of the United Nations, ASEAN, and the European Union.

Economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries has developed steadily. Collaboration has also expanded in other areas such as defense, security, education and training, agriculture, environment, culture, people-to-people exchanges, tourism, and local-level cooperation.

During the official visit to Finland from October 20-22, the General Secretary will hold talks with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, meet with the Finnish Prime Minister, the First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Finland, the Chairman of the Communist Party of Finland, and representatives of leading Finnish enterprises, as well as take part in several other important external activities.

Bulgaria was among the first countries in the world to establish diplomatic relations with Viet Nam, in 1950.

Both countries have regularly maintained exchanges at various levels, including high-level contacts, as well as support each other in multilateral forums such as the United Nations, the ASEAN–EU Strategic Partnership, and the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

During the visit, the Party chief is scheduled to hold talks with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, meet with the Bulgarian Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament, and leaders of major Bulgarian political parties.

He will also attend the inauguration ceremony of a statue of President Ho Chi Minh at the premises of the Vietnamese Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria, and participate in other important diplomatic activities./.
