Party chief: The CPV-CPC relationship is an important channel to enhance VN-China strategic partnership
VGP – The Communist Party of China (CPC) delegation's visit to Việt Nam and PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng’s recent tour to China are important events in the realization of the strategic partnership of comprehensive cooperation between Việt Nam and China, said Party leader Nông Đức Mạnh on October 29 in Hà Nội.

The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV) made the statement at the reception with the visiting CPC delegation, led by Mr. Zhou Yongkang, member of the CPC Politburo Standing Committee and Head of the Political and Legislative Affairs Committee.
Mr. Mạnh stressed that the relations between the two Parties is an important channel to speed up the realization of the strategic partnership of comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides should further exchange experience of theoretical work, personnel education and party construction among central bodies to empower the two Parties' leadership and strength, the CPV leader added.
The host asserted that Việt Nam is consistent of the independent, self-reliant, peaceful and developing diplomacy. Vietnamese Party, State and people always attach importance to the development of the strategic development of comprehensive cooperation with China.

Earlier on the same day, the CPV and CPC delegations held talks to discuss ways to cement and deepen the bilateral ties as well as exchange opinions on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
