The meetings took place as part of the Vietnamese Party leader's ongoing state visit to the Southeast Asian country.

At the meeting with the Speaker of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council, To highly appreciated Indonesia's growing prestige and international standing in the region and the world, expressing his belief that Indonesian people will continue to achieve even greater accomplishments in the future.

Najamudin expressed his delight at the positive developments in the Viet Nam-Indonesia relations, especially the recent upgrade of their ties into a comprehensive strategic partnership.

He affirmed that in his position, he will make positive contributions to fostering multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, including sharing experiences in overseeing government activities and strengthening local-to-local linkages.

The two sides agreed that Viet Nam and Indonesia share a long-standing traditional friendship, common interests and similar viewpoints, and both countries have many advantages and great potential to further develop their relationship.

The establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership framework will not only serve the interests of their peoples but also contribute to building a united, cohesive, and strong ASEAN while making a positive impact on peace, stability, and development in the region and the world, the leaders emphasized.

Speaker of the People's Representative Council of Indonesia Puan Maharani highlighted the significance of the visit, which coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The host hailed the elevation of the Viet Nam–Indonesia ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership, affirming that her country highly values the friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Viet Nam.

The Indonesian People's Representative Council consistently supports the Government in enhancing relations with Viet Nam, she highlighted.

To, for his part, expressed his hope that the Indonesian People's Representative Council and the Vietnamese National Assembly will continue to contribute significantly to the friendship, multifaceted cooperation, and comprehensive strategic partnership between their countries.

Both leaders emphasized the need to further expand bilateral relations between the two countries' Parties, Governments, parliaments, mass organizations, and localities, helping strengthen the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership in the time to come.

They vowed to step up economic and trade cooperation to realize the two nations' trade goal of US$18 billion by 2028.

The host and the guest pledged to expand collaboration across all fields, including increasing regular all-level exchanges, and promoting activities of parliamentary friendship groups to foster experience sharing between the legislative bodies./.
