To emphasized that the Vietnamese Party and State considers Brazil as a key partner in Viet Nam's foreign policy toward Latin America, and wish to deepen the newly-established Strategic Partnership between the two nations.

The host praised the outcomes of the talks between President Lula da Silva and President Luong Cuong, which culminated in the signing of the Action Plan to implement the Viet Nam-Brazil Strategic Partnership for 2025-2030, alongside agreements spanning diplomacy, security, industry-trade, and cooperation between the two national football federations.

To spoke highly of Brazil's decision to recognize Viet Nam's market economy status, calling on both sides to double efforts to advance negotiations on a preferential trade framework that connects Viet Nam with the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR).

Describing Viet Nam as a close friend and an important partner in Asia, the Brazilian President expressed his joy at the strides made since the establishment of a comprehensive partnership during his first presidential term in 2007.

He lauded the recent upgrade of the bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership in November 2024 and reaffirmed Brazil's commitment to working closely with Viet Nam to materialize this new framework, along with high-level agreements and cooperation documents signed during his visit.

Both countries need to continue discussions to identify key products and sectors for mutually beneficial cooperation, toward achieving the trade goal of US$15 billion, he said.

The guest agreed to fortify collaboration with Viet Nam across all channels to build a strong foundation for the bilateral ties.

The two leaders also agreed on key directions to further reinforce the Strategic Partnership bilaterally and multilaterally, with a focus on the effective implementation of signed cooperation agreements across various channels.

The same day, President Lula met with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, during which both sides agreed to continue promoting and realizing the Strategic Partnership framework to bring cooperation in all spheres to a new height, leveraging the potential and meeting development demand of the two countries.

They particularly applauded the freshly signed action plan for implementing the Viet Nam–Brazil Strategic Partnership, pledging to maintain close coordination to carry out the orientations and measures already agreed upon to implement the new relationship framework for the 2025–2030 period in a productive and substantive manner.

The two leaders were pleased to witness the impressive growth of bilateral trade, which approximated US$8 billion in 2024, reaffirming the determination to raise the figure to US$15 billion by 2030.

The two sides agreed to increase experience sharing in implementing socio-economic development policies, and foster scientific – technological cooperation, especially in fundamental industries like manufacturing, supporting industry, farm produce processing, new material, chemical, and renewable energy, thus helping with both countries' efforts towards the green and sustainable development goal.

Pham asserted that Viet Nam stands ready to take steps to open its market to Brazilian beef as part of the two sides' to-be-reached agreement on trade in agricultural products.

The Prime Minister vowed to direct Vietnamese ministries and sectors to provide optimal conditions for Brazilian firms' trade and investment activities, particularly in the aviation and mineral sectors.

Meanwhile, President Lula said he will order Brazilian authorities to actively consider Viet Nam's proposal to soon activate negotiations on a trade agreement between Viet Nam and the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) in order to create favorable conditions for the two sides' businesses to access each other's markets and connect in supply chains, generating tangible benefits for both countries' businesses and people.

On this occasion, the Brazilian President invited Viet Nam to send high-ranking delegations to the BRICS Summit and the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) in his country this year/VNA./.
