Addressing the event, General Secretary To was convinced that the business communities of both countries would capitalize on their respective strengths to build integrated value chains, deepen bilateral ties, and connect more effectively to global markets.
He emphasized that both Viet Nam and Kazakhstan are members of the Viet Nam–Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement (VN–EAEU FTA) - a trade deal that facilitates stronger economic cooperation and boosts the two-way trade.
The Party chief also highlighted the significance of the joint action plan for 2023–2025, signed during the official visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Viet Nam in August 2023, aimed at accelerating economic and trade collaboration.
Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Yermek Kosherbayev suggested Viet Nam and Kazakhstan strengthen cooperation in developing e-government, sharing best practices, implementing next-generation digital services, and integrating artificial intelligence into public administration.
He affirmed the Kazakh Government's commitment to being a reliable and stable partner of Viet Nam, expressing confidence that bilateral cooperation will continue to expand.
On this occasion, General Secretary To, Deputy Prime Minister Kosherbayev, and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son witnessed the exchange of several cooperation agreements between the two countries. Notably, the Viet Nam's Ministry of Finance issued an overseas investment certificate to Aviation Holdings, a member of Vietjet Air, for acquiring a strategic stake in Qazaq Air.
This move is part of Vietjet's international expansion strategy and marks a milestone in Viet Nam–Kazakhstan cooperation in aviation, economy, and culture, while opening a new chapter for the aviation sector in Central Asia.
Vietjet Air and Qazaq Air also signed a business franchise agreement to jointly develop and operate Vietjet Qazaqstan, formerly Qazaq Air. As a next-generation low-cost carrier, Vietjet Qazaqstan is expected to become a key air bridge connecting Kazakhstan with Viet Nam, Southeast Asia, and major international aviation hubs./.
