Outward investment totals US$534 million in 2022
VGP - In 2022, Vietnamese enterprises invested nearly US$534 million in overseas projects, according to the Foreign Investment Agency.

The above figure includes US$426.6 million in 109 newly licensed projects, up 78.7 percent in number and 4.3 percent in value in comparison with last year. The rest came to 26 existing projects, representing a year-on-year increase of 18.2 percent.
Vietnamese businesses have invested in 14 fields, with processing and manufacturing taking the lead with 19 projects worth US$251.9 million, followed by real estate with US$76.8 million.
Vietnamese investors have poured capital into 29 countries and territories. Singapore is the top investment destination with US$ 79.5 million, followed by Laos (US$ 70.5 million), Australia, the U.S., and Germany.
As of December 20, Viet Nam had 1,611 valid overseas investment projects with total registered capital of US$21.75 billion including 139 projects invested by the State-owned enterprises worth US$11.6 billion./.
