Nha Trang expected to be among top tourist destinations in Southeast Asia

VGP – Nha Trang – the capital city of the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa – will be developed to become a leading tourist destination in Southeast Asia.

This is one of the development orientations for the locality until 2030, vision to 2045 stated an action program recently approved by the Government.

Under the program, the local GRDP per capita is expected to increase to VND104 million (or US$4,500) by 2025 and VND189 million (US$8,200) by 2030.

The urbanization rate is projected to reach 65 percent by 2025 and 70 percent by the end of this decade.

The employment rate in the province will increase to 77.97 percent by 2025 and 81.91 percent by 2030.

The rate of trained labor will reach 85 percent by 2025 and 90 percent by 2030 while the rate of workers having a diploma or a certificate will account for 31 percent of the labor force by 2025 and 40 percent by 2030. 

Other criteria set for the province by 2025 include the forest coverage of 46.5 percent and clean water coverage of 70 percent.
