Nha Trang among most popular overseas destinations for South Korean travelers

Official statistics showed that in the first half of the year, Nha Trang welcomed over 1 million Korean visitors, accounting for 45 percent of the total number of foreign arrivals to the locality.

The city boasts many historical and cultural relics imbued with the prints of the ancient Champa civilization. With a picturesque and magnificent natural landscape of long, white sand beaches, Nha Trang Bay, has been listed as one of the most beautiful bays in the world, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.

According to a survey conducted by Rankify Korea website, tourists from South Korea are increasingly interested in destinations in Viet Nam.

Among the three most preferred tourist destinations in South Korea, two are in Viet Nam, it said.

The result was released based on a big data analysis program to evaluate the search volume of Google Trend Index and Naver in the first week of July and compare it with that of the last week of June.

In the first week of July, Phu Quoc island in the Vietnamese southern province of Kien Giang was in the first place with 12,855 points, up 2,962 points compared to the last week of June. Nha Trang ranked second with 10,157 points.

As of July 2024, international arrivals to Viet Nam reached nearly 10 million, with South Korea remaining the top tourist source with 2.59 million, reported Viet Nam's General Statistics Office./.
