Nguyen Thanh Nghi appointed as Chairman of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission
VGP - The Politburo has appointed Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Municipal Party Committee, as the Chairman of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission.

Politburo member, permanent member of the 13th Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, handed over the Decision to appoint Nguyen to the new role at a ceremony held in Ha Noi on August 25.
Nguyen, aged 49, will replace his predecessor Tran Luu Quang who has been assigned by the Politburo to serve as the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Municipal Party Committee.
