Ngang Mountain Pass Tunnel to be expanded
VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung has agreed to expand Ngang mountain pass tunnel in Hoanh Son Mountain from two lanes to four ones.

The new project would be added to the Viet Nam Road Transportation Development Plan by 2020 with a vision towards 2030.
The 2.76-km-long project will begin from Ky Anh District in central Ha Tinh Province and end at Quang Trach District in central Quang Binh Province. The tunnel will be 12m wide and designed for vehicles moving at 60kmph.
The tunnel expansion targets to meet transport demand, boost socio-economic development, and ensure national defence in the central region.
Construction will be carried out from Q2, 2016 to Q2, 2018./.
