With the navigation clearance of 45m, the work allows 30,000 ton ships to go through to Hồ Chí Minh City’s ports.
The BOT project totally costs over VND 2,077 billion.
It is expected to be inaugurated on the occasion of Việt Nam’s National Day (September 2), four months ahead of schedule.
Once finished, the Phú Mỹ Bridge will help ease the traffic congestion in Districts 2, 4, 7, 9, Nhà Bè and Bình Chánh; and make the traveling between the City and other southern provinces much easier.
The bridge can become an architectural icon of Hồ Chí Minh City.
