New tours to discover splendid cave in Quang Binh

VGP – The Quang Binh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism recently opened new cave tours to discover Tien (Fairy) Cave in Cao Nguyen commune, Tuyen Hoa suburban district.

August 20, 2015 8:50 AM GMT+7

A part of Tien Cave in Quang Binh province

Tien Cave was first explored by experts from the British Caving Association in 1994. The cave consists of stalagmite with layer upon layer and looks like terraced fields. It was so-called a nameless heaven.

The 3km-Tien cave is one of the largest in the Tu Lan cave system.

The new tourism services include a one-day tour; 2 day/1 night tour; and another tour from Tu Lan to Cao Quang.

The new tours will be available from this November until next August and temporarily suspended in September and October due to flood season.

These mild discovery tours are expected to lure numerous tourists.

Earlier, moderately adventurous tour to explore Va and Nuoc Nut Caves within the UNESCO-recognised World Heritage Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in the central province of Quang Binh were officially launched on August 16.

The Phong Nha – Ke Bang tourism center also launched a program to explore Toi (Dark) Cave as part of the Quang Binh Cave Festival 2015 themed “Quang Binh - Kingdom of Caves.”

Phong Nha – Ke Bang is famous for its spectacular cave system. Located in Bo Trach district, the 123-hectare park is home to nearly 2,934 species of fauna and flora.

The biggest cave in the world, Son Doong, is hidden in the park. Since the cave was discovered in 2009 by a group of scientists from the British Cave Research Association, it has become an international sensation and drawn tourists from all over the world. /.
