New artifacts collected for Thang Long Imperial Citadel
VGP - The Thang Long-Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Center (TLHCC) has organized a ceremony to receive documents and artifacts from the attendants at the expanded meeting of the Politburo of the Party Central Committee held at D67 House and Tunnel in Thang Long Imperial Citadel from December 18, 1974 to January 8, 1975.

The ceremony saw the presence of families of 18 attendants, including Truong Chinh, Pham Van Dong, Le Duc Tho, Vo Nguyen Giap, Nguyen Duy Trinh, Le Van Luong, Le Thanh Nghi, Van Tien Dung, Tran Quy Hai, Le Trong Tan, Le Ngoc Hien, Tran Van Tra, Vo Chi Cong, Le Quang Dao, Phan Van Dang, Dinh Duc Thien, Giap Van Cuong, Cao Van Khanh, and two historical witnesses, Lieutenant General Tran Quang Khanh and Colonel Nguyen Huy Van.
According to TLHCC Director Nguyen Van Son, as part of activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the national unification (April 30, 1975-2015), the center has studied and planned to collect documents and artifacts of the delegates who attended the Party congress.
Over 500 documents and artifacts, which is historical and decisive to the south’s libration and national unification, have been collected.
Son appreciated the contribution of the delegates’ relatives, which showed their high responsibility to national heritage and history.
D67 House and Tunnel located in the Thang Long Imperial Citadel relic was recognized as a revolutionary relic of Ho Chi Minh time. It was once the headquarters of the Viet Nam People’s Army during the resistant war against American imperialists to liberate the south. Many important conferences of the Politburo and the military Party Commission were held in the site.
