Nearly six million children receive gifts on Mid-Autumn Festival
VGP - As many as six million disadvantaged children nationwide were presented gifts worth over VND 370 billion on the occasion of the 2023 Mid-Autumn Festival.

The gifts included scholarships, cakes, candies, books, notebooks, clothes and bicycles.
Party, State, Government and local leaders fanned out to localities to attend Mid-Autumn celebration programs, presented gifts to and encouraged the disadvantaged children.
Especially, on September 28, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and presented gifts to child patients at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT).
The Government chief said that the NIHBT, the ministries of Health, of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Planning and Investment should work with relevant agencies to promptly study the expansion of inpatient treatment facilities for child patients.
The Party and the State pay special attention to creating the best conditions and a safe, healthy living environment for children’s comprehensive development, considering the work a strategic and long-term issue aimed at enhancing the nation's human resources quality.
Earlier, President Vo Van Thuong sent a letter extending his best wishes to Vietnamese children inside and outside the country as well as foreign children living in Viet Nam on the occasion of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival 2023./.
